Throughout our lives, no matter who we are, there will inevitably be times when we need a little extra support to work things out, to enhance our professional performance, or to achieve our personal goals.
I find that I work very well with male clients (although I work with people of all ages and genders). Men are traditionally much less likely to seek help for emotional and psychological issues than women, but that trend is reversing in recent times.
Younger men and teenagers can find life difficult and are susceptible to influence of kinds as they settle into adult life, and I support the work people like Andrew Pritchard are doing with young men in urban parts of the country. I am proud to be involved as a member of the advisory board for his AP Foundation
Fundamentally, I help people – not only men – resolve every kind of emotional, mental, and even some physical problems, using gentle and relaxing hypnotherapy. I work in a calm solution focused way, getting you to where you really want to be.
Integrative Hypnotherapy
The style and standard of hypnotherapy varies greatly so it is important to know what kind of therapist you are choosing. I work in a way that is completely open to any approach or intervention. I may feel it is necessary to refer a client to their GP, another practitioner or therapist. I believe in working with scientific, evidence-based methods and approaches. I like to work in conjunction with other therapies, always looking for the best outcome for you.
I work in a solution-focused way, setting goals according to the client’s requirements.
I am trained to use Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT) which is a form of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). When integrated with hypnotherapy it becomes a very powerful way to work with more serious emotional and psychological problems and disorders. This model is designed to work over far fewer sessions than standard CBT.
I had 3 sessions with Spencer when my life seemed like it was falling apart. The stress of running a small business, life in general had led me into a really bad place where I was relying on recreational drug use in order to cope. I was on a slippery slope and self sabotaging my business, friendships, family. I found it difficult to leave the flat and basically hide from the world.
Spencer saved me and completely changed my life. I still have stress but am able to cope. I don’t take drugs of any type. I work from a beach in Thailand and run my business from here. I think everyone would benefit from Spencer’s help.
